Prime Minister Narendra Modi today inaugurated the sixth edition of the India Mobile Congress (IMC). PM Modi also launched 5G services in India. The prime minister said that 5G technology can revolutionise the lifestyle and urged industry leaders to create awareness around its usage. He also urged the countryment to utilise 5G for taking India towards a faster growth path.

5G technology will provide seamless coverage, high data rate, low latency, and highly reliable communications. It will increase energy efficiency, spectrum efficiency and network efficiency, said an official release.

The India Mobile Congress (IMC) 2022 is being held from 1st to 4th October with the theme of “New digital Universe”. It will bring together leading thinkers, entrepreneurs, innovators, and government officials to discuss and showcase unique opportunities emerging from the rapid adoption and spread of digital technology.
